Support Brighton’s movers and shakers this Christmas – and save a pretty penny too – by buying your Christmas pressies handmade or second hand.

There are a range of craft and food fairs happening around Brighton and the surrounding areas in the lead up to the jolliest day of the year so check out our list and get yourself perusing.

Farmers market gone festive

Where: Churchill Square, Western Road, Brighton

When: Every Wednesday until the 12th February (festive version until xmas) 10am

What: Range of eats and treats and as the festive season grows upon, some stuff for your Yuletide table

Where: Corn exchange, Church Street, Brighton

When: 21st November 11am (costs £6.50)

What: Design and craft fair with over 120 exhibitors.

Brighton Street Market

Where: Upper Gardner Street, North Laine, Brighton

When: Every Saturday until 19th December at 8am

What: Stalls selling antiques, food and more.

Christmas table top sale

Where: Number 66, Cairo Avenue, Peacehaven

When: 22 November 10am – 4pm

What: Range of crafts on sale

Haven’t you grown nearly-new sale

Where: Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove

When: 22 November

What: Over 50 tables selling children’s clothes and other goods, plus jewellery makers, photographers and a delicious cafe.

Christmas fair

Where: Southwick Community centre, Southwick street, Southwick

When: 22 November 10am – 2pm

What: Variety of stalls to bring you xmas cheer. And a tombola. Very British.

The big Christmas Fair

Where: Sallis Benney Theatre, 58-67 Grand Parade, Brighton

When:  23 November, 11am – 5pm

What: Rang of crafts, handmade clothes, tasty eats, books, zines and more.

Judy’s affordable vintage fair

Where:  Brighton Open Market, Marshalls Row, London Road, Brighton

When: Sunday 30 November, 11am – 4pm – FREE

What: Vintage clothes, shoes, gifts, accessories, collectables, vinyl, reworked – all for affordable prices.

FODIS Christmas Fair

Where: Downs Infant School, Ditchling Road, Brighton

When: Sunday 30th November 12 – 2.30pm

What: Tombola, disco, gifts and food – all raising money for the kids and community around Downs Infant School.

Sussex family Christmas fair extravaganza

Where:  Charmandean Centre, Forest Road, Worthing

When: Sunday 30 November, 10.30am – 4pm.

Entrance is £2, parking is FREE.

What: Christmas gifts, Santa’s grotto, over 65 stalls, festive food and drink and much more. A giddy occassion perfect for the scrimping family (wo)man.

Christmas craft fair

Where: Friends meeting house, Brighton

When: 13th December – FREE entry

What: A range of arts and crafts sellers, and a jolly cafe with mince pies and the such. Great place to find something unique and reasonably priced, while supporting local artists and makers.

Street Diner Night Market

Where: Brighthelm Centre Auditorium, Queens Road, Brighton

When: 18th December 7pm – 11pm

What: The wonderful Street Diner ladies and their crew of culinary conquerors are bringing us a night of festive food, drinks and fun. This makes me very very excited!
